Kings Of Leon Cancel More Tour Dates After Drummer's Injuries

It looks like Kings of Leon will be on the sidelines a little longer.  A tour bus accident this weekend left drummer Nathan Followill with broken ribs, and forced the band to postpone Sunday night's tour stop in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Now "Billboard" says the rockers have canceled another eight shows.  Followill's doctor released a statement explaining that the drummer needs to take a break from performing so he can make a full recovery.  The band will be off the road until August 28th, when they return for a show in Holmdel, New Jersey.

But fans can catch the Kings before that on TV.  They're still set to make their scheduled appearance on NBC's "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Tuesday, with Roots drummer Questlove filling in for Nathan.  Followill says he's counting down the days until he can "get back in the saddle and continue what has been [the band's] best American tour so far."

Kings of Leon's canceled tour dates:

Aug. 10 -- Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs, NY
